The YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for every child in our community. We believe that protecting children is everyone’s responsibility. When adults understand how abuse happens, recognize the warning signs, and respond quickly to concerns, they help build a culture of safety and prevention that protects all youth.
Five Days of Action is a national initiative designed to raise awareness and inspire adults to take meaningful steps toward preventing child sexual abuse. Led by the YMCA Guardians for Child Protection, this campaign encourages individuals and organizations to collaborate in strengthening community awareness, enhancing child protection practices, and advocating for safer environments where children can grow and thrive.
