Giving Back During the Holiday Season

We’re proud to share the impact of our recent food drive across the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas. Thanks to the generosity of our members, staff, and community, we collected and delivered 1,200 pounds of nonperishable food to the THRIVE Peninsula pantry, filling our Y in Motion van with essential items like pasta, cereals, canned goods, and baby diapers.

THRIVE plays a critical role in supporting families across Hampton Roads and beyond. In the past year, the pantry has served more than 31,600 individuals from 694 families, while also providing nearly $600,000 in financial assistance and access to financial coaching to help families build long-term stability.

This effort is a powerful example of what happens when our community comes together around a shared purpose. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped extend care and support to our neighbors during the holiday season.
