Swim lessons for all ages

Swim lessons at the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsula teach children and adults across the Virginia Peninsula and surrounding communities to be safe and confident in the water. Our certified instructors use the YMCA's proven, progressive curriculum, from parent-and-child classes for babies as young as 6 months to stroke development and private lessons for all ages. Swimmers are evaluated at their first lesson, so they start at the level that fits them.

The Y evaluates swimmers during their first lesson.
